๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ“š 695 ITALIAN PUNK FANZINES FROM THE 80s GO ONLINE โ€” A DIY TREASURE TROVE FOR RIFF-HEADS EVERYWHERE, MUN! ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ“Ž
What’s occurring, butt!?Strap on your studded belt, spill some cheap lager on your Docs, and prepare to vanish into the glorious paper-cut universe of 1980s Italian punk — because a MASSIVE new archive has just detonated onto the internet, and it is pure DIY gold dust. ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ“ฐ

Bologna punk archivist Paolo Palmacci has undertaken the kind of project that only a true lifer, scene goblin, and fanzine hoarder could pull off. From his own history in obscure Italian bands to years spent digging through boxes of photocopied mayhem, Paolo has created an online monument to Italy’s punk underground… and it absolutely rips. ๐Ÿงท๐Ÿ”ฅ

And guess what? It’s not a dusty museum job. It’s interactive, downloadable, fully chaotic — a digital squat bursting with noise, ink, and attitude.

Check these out:

So far Paolo has documented 695 Italian punk fanzines, with 635 fully available to read or download for free. FREE, mun. Punk spirit intact. No paywalls, no nonsense, just raw culture.

And this isn’t a pile of random scraps either. We’re talking iconic hardcore fanzines that shaped Italy’s underground identity:

๐Ÿ”ฅ T.V.O.R. (The Voice Of Rage)๐Ÿ”ฅ Granducato Hardcore (GDHC)๐Ÿ”ฅ Brians Out๐Ÿ”ฅ Nuove dal Fronte

Plus dozens that fed the DIY ecosystems around Raw Power, Peggio Punx, Wretched, Indigesti, and the whole feral army of Italian hardcore legends. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น⚡

It’s history told through glue sticks, attitude, and badly-behaved typewriters.

๐Ÿ“ฃ And here’s the juicy bit for Riff Report readers…We’re planning a full interview with Paolo himself.Yup — a deep dive into this colossal project, the DIY networks that shaped Italian punk, and how these photocopied artefacts carried entire scenes on their backs.

Imagine the stories: basement gigs, zine trades across continents, dodgy printers, police raids, political firestorms, and a youth scene fuelled by adrenaline and stubbornness. That’s the stuff we live for, mun. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ✍️

Stay tuned — we’ll be bringing Paolo’s world to the global English-speaking punk community very soon. And if you’re a zine nerd, a HC historian, or someone who spiritually lives inside a gig flyer… this archive will swallow your entire evening. Proper job. https://theriffreport.co.uk/09/12/2025/%f0%9f%94%a5%f0%9f%93%9a-695-italian-punk-fanzines-from-the-80s-go-online-a-diy-treasure-trove-for-riff-heads-everywhere-mun-%f0%9f%a4%98%f0%9f%87%ae%f0%9f%87%b9%f0%9f%93%8e/
